Stillbrook Day Camp 2012

“The outside of a horse is the best thing for the inside of a child”

Printable Form (pdf file)

Stillbrook Riding Stables offers a very unique opportunity
for children wanting to experience the wonderful world of horses.
We offer a Christmas, March Break and Summer Day Camp Program

Many children find riding for a full week too much if they are an inexperienced rider
so we offer a wide range of horse related activities.
We offer driving lessons both single (horse and buggy) and
team of horses pulling a wagon. We also book by the day if that works better into your schedule.
If your child is fit and outdoorsy then a full week at camp
is a very rewarding experience.
Parents may choose whatever works best for your lifestyle.

An average day at camp consists of:
 9am arrival
9-10 barn safety rules, assigning of horse and grooming and tacking up
10-11 riding lesson and short break
11-12 lesson continues and games on horseback

Children bring their own lunch for lunch break

1pm -2 supervised swimming in above ground Kayak pool
2-3 "horsey" craft time
3-4 Trail Ride and pick up for home

We offer specialized camp days as well:  At the first of the week the riders are asked which additional
activities they would like to do and we try our best to fit them into our day or if the weather does not allow for a trail ride
we do another horse activity in the arena that day. These include,
           Halloween in July and August,
Let's Get Ready to Show –learning to braid etc
Horse Training  - free jumping horses in arena
driving the horse and buggy
driving team of horses
At Stillbrook, children ride approximately three hours a day.
